Bodega x New Balance

Designed a marketing social asset for Bodega x New Balance XC-72 with direction from Bodega’s art director Ricky Orng. The direction of the design is based off of imagery and typographic hierarchy from 70’s - 80’s running advertisements. More specifically, ads from magazines my father would collect from his world travels as a marathon runner.
I created copy that is influenced by the juxtaposition of being inspired by the past, while at the same time moving forward with new innovative footwear design. Photography from my personal film collection was utilized to add texture and grounding context for the design.
